Ambra looks at the warrior quizzicly for a second before laughing politely. You get the feeling she doesn't really see the joke but doesn't want to seem impolite. She loosens her grip on the drink and shakes Kenn's hand, as she moves her arm out it becomes apparent that under her cloak she wears a rather plain white and brown dress, though she does wear an oddly precious looking crystal amulet (though 'amulet' is perhaps to fine a word for what is essentially a stone tied to a piece of string).

"Yes, the people at the clifftop guild said this was a good place to wait for work... um, I suppose that means your all adventurers then?"

Kenn smiles lazily and moves his hat so Ambra can sit down.
"I prefer the term "gentleman of fortune", but I may have read too many silver novels growing up."
Hawkish eyes sweep Ambra head to toe -- Kenn may sound careless, but his eyes are very careful.
"I think the chief mystery for any inquisitive needs to be "Where the heck's the adventure gone?"

Ambra flinches instinctively from Kenn’s gaze, she makes a particularly obvious attempt to keep him from getting a good look at her face.

‘Ambra, this man is a buffoon. If he isn’t already trying to take advantage of you, and he is, he’s too curious. Find someone else or be prepared to face the consequences when he oversteps his bounds.’

‘Brye! Just… just be quiet. I don’t care what he wants, I’m tired of avoiding people all the time. Anyway, I can handle myself if I have to, you know that...’

She sits down in the place Kenn cleared for her, though she still seems far from relaxed.

"Where's the adventure go- what do you mean?"

‘Well if you don’t mind the possibility of having to watch his brain leak out through his ears when he turns nasty…’

‘Just shut up Brye!’

[sblock=Detailed information] I'm not sure how attentive Kenn is, but unless he's rediculously bad at spotting things he'll have noticed Ambra's psicrystal even if he doesn't know what it is.

Aside from that, the bruising on her cheek is actually the edge of her aberrant dragonmark, but since the mark itself is on the back of her head it's unlikely he'd have seen it unless he's either very good or familiar with aberrant marks.

She's also carrying a dagger, a money pouch and a vial of acidic fire. She doesn't appear to be wearing any armour whatsoever. [/sblock]

Kenn is pretty good at spotting things when he wants to be, so he's seen the bruising on her head. Right now he's written that off as a close encounter with a sap.
On his part, Kenn isn't wearing any armor either. There's a rapier and buckler leaning against the wall.
His coat is long and black, with lots of interesting bulges that might be more weapons, coin purses, potion vials, or bags of copper candy.
He has a red scarf wrapped loosely around his neck.
Also, Ambra will have noticed Kenn's eyes are distinctively bright blue -- they'd be electric blue if Eberron had electricity -- and very penetrating.

Kenn yawns elaborately.
"Well, this was supposed to be the bar where adventure comes to drink with his companions action and derring-do. Apparently they all left and stuck us with the bar tab.
Will Brye join us in an absinthe, or does he think I'm going to poison it?"

Arvin heads over to the girl and Kenn. He sets both of his gloved hands on the back of a chair and leans over to talk to the both of them. "Did you find this one's lost friend she was talking to? Did she loose someone?"

The large, muscular man seems a bit out of place, and long hair with occasional braids lays accross his bronzed skin. His accent does nothing to make him seem like he belongs here. He nods to the young woman, and dispite his intimidating presence, presents a calming smile and demeanor. "I am Arvin the Chosen. Can I help you?"

OOC: No, he's not very observant either

"Um... no he's... Brye isn't lo- I mean he is but not like tha-" Ambra seems a little rattled, both by the sudden appearance of the large stranger and the way the conversation has suddenly turned. After a few seconds she stops, calms herself and begins again.

"Well he's probably not going to appreciate this, but if you want me to introduce you..." Ambra takes the deep-purple jewel hanging around her neck and holds it up to the light, allowing it to rest in the palm of her hand. For a few seconds nothing happens. Then with a sudden crackling noise, the crystal comes to life. A small but bright violet light emanates from the crystal, and lightning-like tendrils of psionic energy form four legs, upon which the crystal begins to stand.

"This is Brye. He's kind of my brother... only not really. More like the memory of my brother really. It's difficult to explain. Um... he doesn't really like strangers much, but he shouldn't hurt you as long as I tell him not to." She smiles apologetically.

Veyk drains the last drop of water from his glass, then sets it down gently on the counter.

" Well, that certainly sounded like a veiled threat, but I suppose I shall let it pass, " he says, eyeing the strange little crystal. " Verily, there are many dangers to be wary of, yet I do not place oversized walking jewelry on my list. "
