Well, people seem pretty happy with the BoEM2 so far...

I'm thinking of getting it, but my question is - is it worth getting BoEM number 1 as well?

There are quite a few references to the first one in the second-

Usually in the prerequisites of PrC's and the new sorcerer spell list.

I have used it a couple of times as a DM, and think it is a good investment.

I like them both. If you DM and enjoy using spells that the PCs will not expect or know about, it's great. If you play a wizard, the spells will be aof much help. The prestige classes are cool, aagain more use from the DM side then the PC side. Lots of cool ideas.
