Can you make this a multiple option instead of only one? I want to vote for a Class and Subclass! :)

Voting for it as a Class leaves Psionic Themed Subclasses lije the Aberrant Mind and Mentalist still as thing syou cam have still, but you don't call both a class and subclass The Psion.

Testing out some ideas in subclasses as a way to test out features for a potential new class isn't an awful plan. So, both I guess? I don't have the same fervor about this topic that some people have though.

I voted "Sorcerer subclass," but only because I couldn't vote for Warlock subclass. But yeah, like @Fenris-77 said: I'm not really as interested in psionics as some other folks seem to be. Sorcerer works just fine for "high charisma arcanist."

You don’t have an option for general subclass, like the options in the most recent UA. So there is not option for me to vote for that actually answers your poll question.
Of the two, I choose subclass over class

Sorcerer works just fine for "high charisma arcanist."

I voted for Sorcerer subclass also, but I really very torn.

Psion's never were "high charisma arcanists". They were studious, disciplined, focused, and almost scientific in their development of Psionics.

So what would erase the issue for me would be a Sorcerer subclass that swapped Charisma for Intelligence. But basically mimicked the powers of the Wizard in this UA that was just released.

Either that or if this Wizard in the UA got rid of the spellbook and just had spells known instead. Hell, even made that psionic focus item they talk about act as your "spellbook"/dojre/Power Stone where you "mentally scribe" your new powers known, ala Power Stones

That would work for me too.

I never played or read any of the Dark SunTM books and materials, so my point of view on psionics might be different. But with that in mind, pun intended, I feel that psionics would be a power or ability that you possessed and manifested through your own force of will and mental control...it would be something you were born with or cursed with, not something you rigorously studied and learned.

But I can see it as a studied science too, just not as easily. (shrug) I guess my imagination favors Charsima psions over Intelligence ones.
