D&D (2024) Should WotC change D&D's trade dress in 2024?

It feels like something Fred Savage, wearing his Nintendo Power Glove, would have introduced.

It was pretty wild too, cause their previous logo was really classy and… I don’t want to say “timeless” necessarily, but it certainly didn’t look as dated as the new one does.

Yeah, they probably should have just played with the old one (they could "update" it just by playing with the font and the arch of the thing) rather than making that... wall thing.

To answer the OP: I wish they would (because I would like it), but I don't think they will (or should, really).

I don’t think the company that changed their logo to this in 2021 is overly concerned with whether or not their trade dress looks dated:

I feel that the incoming books will have different art and perhaps a different "trade dress" as some may put it.

Different, but still identifiable.

My guess: Same trade dress, but in gold instead of red, for the 50th anniversary. A subtle, but noteworthy difference. And all product released in the anniversary year will have the anniversary logo on the back.
