So last night it came up that we were short some players for a game and so I started calling up friends from out of the area to see if they wanted to jump into a game at the last minute.
It's been quite awhile since I'd last used an online rpg
program, we used to use Kloogewerks, which was fine but a bit complicated.
Is there something out there that is stripped to the bone and easy to set up in just a couple of minutes?
All that is really needed is:
A white board to crudely sketch a scene
Token objects that can be moved around by anyone.
Diceroller
Chat
I know a lot of what is out there can do this, but we were just looking for something that was free, didn't require all sorts of installation hoops, like python, etc.
Something that could be set up and running within five minutes of a cold call for adventuring.
Is there anything out there like this yet? Just nearly effortless connecting and playing, not a lot of technical hoops to deal with or need to handhold less geeky friends through several stages of installations, log ins, etc?
