Simple question about Refl saves

Nope...no "in my campaign" at all.

It is stupid and overpowered, it should provoke attacks of opportunity, it should be banned, and he shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

I hate concentration.

I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I h ate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.I hate it.

You get the idea.

Just what we need... another troll.

(And not a very good one, at that.)

Interesting that you identify it as "not a very good troll," considering it wasn't one at all.

Personally, I'd be more inclined to think that your post was a troll then mine...mine actually says something about the topic at hand, while yours, well, pretty much only insults me.

(I'm aware that this doesn't talk about the topic at hand, either, but since you have made the "troll" thing a topic, I will revert to the argument of "you started it" if you wish ;-))

Whoa, FANGO, I must've been asleep or something. I didn't realize that you were appointed the Official Arbiter of All Balance Issues In Every Campaign Anywhere. Thank you for instructing us lowly peons about the hideously broken things we've somehow overlooked. If I may say so, you must be quite talented, since you can tell me what's broken in my campaign without having the slightest clue about how we play or how my PCs operate. Yep, you're an absolute genius.

All hail lord FANGO! How much is WOTC paying you for this stressful and demanding position?

(Oh, and BTW:  )

You're welcome to hold that opinion, of course. But regardless of what should happen, what does happen, by the Core Rules, is that by casting defensively, he provokes no AoOs.

So when you say "they would all get attacks of opportunity against the person casting invisibility", it's a House Rule.

Hence my suggestion of the inclusion of "in my campaign".

I'm making no judgement as to whether the rules are good or bad. I'm simply stating what the rules allow.

Well, that's why I used the word "should" a few times in there. And why I said "I hate it." I've gone over why I don't like concentration before, in an earlier discussion about it, and there were quite a few people who seemed to agree that the DC of 15+spell level was ludicrously low (keep in mind that people complain about tumble being horrendously "broken", and it has a DC of 15-25).

Oh, and in my new position of "Official Arbiter of All Balance Issues In Every Campaign Anywhere" (auraseer pointed out that apparently I've been appointed to that position, and though I had never heard of this before, I'm honored to have the title), I'm always right anyway. And thanks for the praise and everything, but there's no real need to hail me...I've never been too big on the whole hailing thing anyway.

(P.S. it seems to me that people JUST MIGHT realize that, when I say something is "stupid and overpowered and he shouldn't be doing it anyway," maybe there is just the tiniest little chance that I'm kinda sorta not talking about the core rules in that instance? Thus, I included no "in my campaign")

If four attackers surround a spellcaster and not one of them has enough wit to grapple him, they deserve to suffer through whatever spell he decides to cast (defensively).

You were not talking about the core rules? You were not talking about casting defensively (PHB p.65 and 125)?

What were you talking about?

If you are flatfooted or an enemy that you don't have noticed yet casts something on you, do you get a reflex save (with penalty of no dex bonus of course) or not?

Unless you are helpless (paralyzed, sleeping, unconscious etc.) you always get a reflex save. And you always add your dexterity modifier to your reflex save, even when flatfooted.

Similar question. 4 players surround and flank someone. He casts invisibility and walks away. Do they get AoOs?[/B]

Only if they can "see" him.
