Woah, I'm tempted to calculate the odds for that, but that could draw unpleasant attention - all that bad luck has to go *somewhere*, right?
Too late, you just jinxed yourself.
The most hated odds for me? 1:400 and 1:8000.
Unless I'm mistaken, that's the odds of rolling the same number twice/thrice on a d20.
First time, it was my elven bladesinger and champion of Corellon Larethian (not the ROTW PrC). Our party fought against an "anty-party". For every character, there was an enemy who worked for the character's worst enemy and generally incited hate: I had a drow priestess of Lolth, our halfling hating druid a halfling blighter, the wizard another wizard.
The enemy wizards opened with horrid wilting. My fort save: Natural 1. My fort save against massive damage: Natural 1. Yes, we could afford true res, but still, Pharaun was out for that fight, and it was a fight that he really wanted to fight.
Second time, it was my favoured soul. Red wizard casts empowered fireball for 60+ points of damage. My ref save: Natural 1. So even after res, it was massive damage. Fort save: Natural 1. I couldn't believe it. Not again. I took the damn die and rolled again, just out of spite. Natural 1.
I yet have to get a series of natural twenties in a big fight....
