Semabin nods slightly, not entirely convinced, but doesn't draw his own weapons. However, he mentally prepares himself to draw one of his scimitars should things turn sour after all.

Sorry for the delay.

So, you're proceeding across the bridge in the order: Eanos, Pendrake, Semabin.

The bridge consists of spans of massive stone blocks. The bridge seems solid. It rises 2 feet above the water surface at its highest point, eventually connecting to the road on the other side which soon comes into view in the distance. The stonework is about a mile long across this massive underground sea, but at the other side an expanse of pale light comes through the Underdark, enabling you to see a city.

About a third of the way across the bridge a few of the massive stone blocks are cracked and askew. A navigable path still exists where the corners of the crooked stones come close enough together, but unlike the minor erosion endured by the majority of the bridge, this section seems to have sustained damage.

Pendrake halts momentarily in his steps as the vision of him sinking to the bottom of the underground sea flashes before is eys, but the courage needed to continue quickly takes over as the realization that he gave his word to do this task comes to memory.

Pendrake continues. When he arrives at the ascew blocks, he will move with great care.

Eanos, human monk

Eanos frowns at the signs of damage.

"Let's hope this isn't a sign of what's to come," he says quietly as he, like the others, carefully picks his way across. He looks around to see if the source of the damage might still be within view.

"It is possible I need to reassess my previous remark." Semabin states dryly as he draws one of his scimitars.

[sblock=ooc]Essentially blind and deaf. :p (-1 each)[/sblock]

[sblock=Eanos]Impressive Spot! (33)

Eanos sees a school of creatures part-humanoid part-fish swimming in the water below.[/sblock]

Eanos, human monk

[sblock=orsal]Woot! Noticing things is one of the few things I designed Eanos to be good at. Glad it worked this time. :)[/sblock]

The monk raises a hand to warn his companions. "Take care," he whispers. "There are some some kind of aquatic people swimming below. I don't know if they caused this or intend to do anything, but it's suspect, at least."
