Eanos, human monk
As the light begins to fail, the monk lights a torch.
"I'm generally no less effective with one hand holding the light," he says.
Looking at the X on the wall, Eanos cocks his head to the side.
"I haven't much experience with portals," he says. "Are they generally marked this way, or is this some other landmark?"
((OOC: Eanos has zip for a Search bonus, so he's probably the wrong person to check for anything.))

Of course. I've edited it now. When I took over The Forgotten Map I got into the habit of associating your username with Karl. I've got to get a new set of habits by association now.

Eanos' eyes widen.
"Pendrake!" Eanos calls, stepping closer to the x on the wall. He listens for a moment to see if Pendrake is able to respond, or if he can hear his companion struggling, then glances back to the others. "Either this is the portal, or a hell of a trap. Who else is for following? I have rope we can tie off before; hopefully we'll be able to pull ourselves back?"

When you fell through the wall, you fell... not sure where. You had a sense of moving, possibly teleportation, but you can't tell where you ended up. You landed on the ground, but not hard. It's completely dark, and without your own light source you can see nothing. You also hear nothing from your friends on the other side.[/sblock]
