Skamos Redmoon, the Pathetic Tiefling Wizard

I've said it in many threads, but I'll say it again.

This mage gets Mage Hand....AT WILL!!

If you can't roleplay with mage hand at will, your not really trying :D

Wizard...

It is one of the staples of fantasy fiction as well as all previous versions of DnD that the Wizard can learn new spells by finding a spellbook. With the new focus on balance, I wonder if the Wizard can still learn spells in this manner or if he/she is forced to wait for new spells at each level, like everyone else (in the name of balance)?

I think it's half and half. From what we've heard, wizards can learn new rituals (rather than spells) from other people's spell books. Rituals have taken over a lot of the non-combat utility spells.

And it's awesome now. It makes an actual hand that can lift 20 lbs. Plus, it can pull out potions, implements, ammo, whatever you need from your various packs and pouches. If you need to, you can have it go into your backpack, pull out a particular potion, and deliver it to the fighter as a move action. In 3e you can't even lift a magic dagger, or a 6 lb. bag of flour.

Came in here to post this, basically. Who the hell casts magig missile when you have unlimited mage hands? THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES

I'm constantly amazed by the people on this board who somehow think the preview characters are intended to be something other than exactly what they are.
