Skill point questions for a half-dragon/centaur

I'm assuming 3E, not including any skill points for class levels:

half-dragon centaur would give you 8 x 7 = 56 skill points

Reason: The half-dragon template changes your type from monstrous humanoid to Dragon, so you use the dragon's type skill points (6 + Int modifier), for all HD (centaur's 4HD + 3 starting out base). This all matches what you see on p147 of the MM, under "skills" for the Half-dragon template (and correlates to the Dragon type on p308 of the MM).

Ok, I am playing 3.5e. And I really don't know what class to do. What would be a good class for this kind of character? I really don't want to have to cast spells, unless they are spells i dont have to pick everyday.

Help me out: so is it like horsey dragon, or maybe it has torso like a dragonborn? Or maybe he's totally lucky and gets human torso with dragon legs?

Was there some particular inspiration? :)

Sorry, I did mean 3.5...

Barbarian, Fighter or Ranger would probably be your best bet. Monk wouldn't be out of the question (unarmed fighting, extremely fast of foot), but with the ECL, you'd have a big risk of being underpowered. Same would go as a spellcaster, your ECL will really put you in the hole as far as power goes.

If you just want to have fun with having enough skill points to boggle everyone's mind, go rogue.

Ok. I want to be a centaur though. Would that be the race then? I just kinda want a funny character to play. And yes actually there is a pic in the monster manual of a gold dragon centaur. So could i play a Centaur Half-Dragon Ranger? Then how would i make this kind of character up? Mainly i play monks and CE clerics. How would i make a Centaur half-dragon ranger?

Pick the centaur caracteristics, modify with half dragon template, add ranger level, add level adjustment and that is...
At first level you'll be equivalent (by the rules) to a 10th level character.
4HD from centuar + 1HD from ranger + 2 adj level from centaur + 3 adj level from half dragon = 10.
A bit low on HP to survive may be.

Duskblade, Dragon Shaman, Rogue, or Crusader.
Duskblade is as spontaneous fighting mage: full BAB and spells for offense. They can channel spells into weapons.

Dragon Shaman because you are part dragon. They have nifty Auras.

Crusader because they are hard to kill warriors with amazing fighting techniques called maneuvers.

Rogue because you might want to try sneak attack. Adds up good to damage, plus nice skills.

Duskblade/Dragon shaman found in PHB 2.
Crusader found in Tome of Battle: book of nine swords.
Rogue in PHB.
