Can we have a forum just for Driddle and Cutter XXIII?

I swear to Gawd I'd pay money for that - it would be worth the carpal tunnel from hitting the F5 key all day.

Being a wargamer does not prohibit one from being a DnD player. It's a simple matter of taking a dual major, or taking the appropriate minor with some post college certifications. In the circles I run in it is quite common. We find it enhances our knowledge of the tactical aspects of the game thoroughly, and leads to fewer of the "Can you take a fireball?" incidents. The party fighter, in particular, is quiet pleased with the reduction in the amount of aloe he's had to buy with his share of the treasure.

As a matter of fact, we've begun to petition WotC for the inclusion of the meat of the wargamer degree in all further DnD degrees going forward. We've made it past the first hurdle and are currently drafting literature to present to the faculty board next week.

In the Ivy League gaming circles, we still respect certain ... shall we say, "pedigreed?" ... areas of study.(sigh) I pity your junior college view of the world.

Do you not realize how condescending this sounds?

Yeah, I didn't really understand this either. What's your point Driddle? Are you saying that us "lesser" games don't worry about the skills people choose?

There is no need to petition WotC over this. Remember the Miniature's Handbook (which is required reading for anyone who wants to get their BS in D&D) includes RPG rules, skirmish rules, and mass battle rules all in one book.

I swear, sometimes you acedemics just don't know what you've already got before spouting off your ill-founded conclusions....

How awesome would it be if you really could get a BS in D&D. I mean, you'd have to double major, but I'd love to get college credit for gaming.

Wanna borrow my sarcasm and metaphor detectors for a while? I don't really need them while at work.
