Alternately, you could add in a level of Sorcerer for Mage Armor and/or Shield.

That might cause some alignment problems.

I'd rather go with BarbarianX Rogue4.
High Strength, High Con, High Dex. .... Where was that Conan d20 site?

Hitpoints, DR, ... you'll last a while.

Hmmm, coulda sworn I've seen that name in an anime before... and it just hit me. It's actually Slayne I was thinking of, from Record of Lodoss. But I have brought this thread way off of track, sorry and go ahead and ignore me.

Aren't the prerequisites to be a barbarian any chaotic and the prerequisites to be a monk any lawful? Doesn't seem to work.

You could use some of the classes or feats from the Slaine RPG. In that setting the maximum armour is a breastplate (AC +5) and many characters where no armour at all.

Some classes give a Dodge bonus to AC that increases each level their is also the Improved Dodge Feat that gives an additional +1 Dodge bonus that applies against all melee opponents. Door of Battle Feat which doubles any shield bonus, etc.

You can change your alignment.

Change your alignment after 1 level of monk so you can get the monk ability bonuses. Then take as many levels equal to your Int bonus of swashbuckler so you can your Int onto your AC. And make sure to take some levels in Wiz so you can cast grease on yourself to be all shiny and pose for all the magazine covers.
