Slaves of the Dragon (orsal judging)

"Lathirn is a festering hole of thievery and brutality. The thieves guild is a major power there. I wouldn't be surprised if the guild is trying to mug a few of your fellow adventurers there."

Working together, and carefully following the kobold's tracks, you conclude that the kobolds indeed came directly from Grenton.

OOC: Does this mean that we are now near Grenton after following the tracks for awhile? Is it time to split up into the wilderness team and the town team?

"We will trust your judgement on where to take them, and you have our greatest thanks in preserving both our safety and our honor." Katherine gives him a bow just deep enough to be flattering but not overblown enough to seem sarcastic.

As Jakub is driving away, Planus says, "I hope they don't escape and eat him. Eight to one is not good odds. Oh well, I guess he'll have a reason to see how fast he can run. Of course Jack's nots will most likely hold."

"I think Jakub knows if he can handle the ride or not. Now, let's find Grenton." Opale replies to Planus worries.

She follow the group while they are tracking the way up to Grenton. As the group come near the village, she asks

"Do we start to scout around before showing ourselves or do we split as we had plan earlier?"

"lets split as planned. Time for some of us to hide in plain sight...." katherine adjust Nibble's gear to make her scribing tools more obvious and her weapons less so and judges the right time to get into town late enough to want to stop for the night, but early enough to have some time to talk before bedtime, then leads the town group on a obvious and talkative entrance starting a good distance out from the village (so that any spies will definitly see them, rather than possibly seeing them sneaking.)

The group splits according to their earlier plan, and the village group approaches Grenton as the afternoon ends. The village is, interestingly, guarded by (rather crude looking) watchtowers with flags. As a person in the nearest tower spots you, he changes the arrangement of flags, then gets something that might be a bow, but you cannot tell yet.

As you approach the tower, you can clearly make out the person to be a human man, tired and dirty, pointing a bow at you. "Hold! Who's this?"

(waiting on plans from the wilderness team)

Katherine smile up at him and calls out, "my name is Katherine and we are just passing through. I hope that there is an inn, room to let or possibly straw filled barn on the other side of that tower, for I'm tired of a bedroll and knobby roots!"

(Diplomacy +9, bluff +7 if applicable....)

ooc: I don't suppose we got any xp for our brief fight with the kobalds?

"Eh. There'll prolly be a barn for you, but don' expect t'much straw." The man waves you in.

(I'll give out XP in larger portions, and not when they are obtained - propably when you reach a total of 1000 XP, enough for the 1st level characters to level up, unless there is an important reason to give it earlier (such as item creation). You did get some XP, but not a groundshaking amount. ;))

"thank you sir, can you point us at a place to buy a hot meal?"
