Slaves of the Dragon (orsal judging)

OOC: Sorry, miss that last post.

"I have one last question. Do you know how the kobold feels about Eskaron? Are they considering him as some kind of god? Or a tyran? And if you have anything else that you think might help us, tell it now, cause I have to go back before my trick wear off."

"The kobolds consider Eskaron their legitimate leader. Be careful on your way back. If the kobolds heard you calling your friends 'adventurers', they may be preparing an ambush."

"Thank you, I'll go before all wear off. We will try to get rid of that and I'll make sure after that that you see Sina again."

On that, Opale make her way back to the barn where she had slept, Staying alert. Stay arare Naga[/I]. She tells to her pet.

When Opale gets back, Farid looks over and says in a somewhat quiet voice, "What did you find out?"

"The lady's got kobolds in her basement," Jack mentions as if he were relating a new addition to the dinner menu at the Red Dragon Inn.

Farid's eyes widen and he coughs a bit. "Wait, what? In the basement? What for?"

"You got me," Jack shrugs, "I've got to learn their gabble one of these days..."

OOC: Would some sort of Intelligence check to remember a phrase or two be out of order?

OOC: I was waiting in case something happen on the way back. Supposing there is nothing on my way back and make it safely to the barn where we slept.

"I've warn Jeline about the girl. And it isn't a basement, Jack. The kobold have build caves under most of the building. We are safe here, but Jeline's house isn't. The kobold are controlling the population with that, and they doesn't like adventurer, so we'll have to continu to keep a low profil. If they are aware of our presence and they think we might be a danger, they may just get rid of us.

Meras, the one the young Sina have seen the execution, was pretending that Eskaron wasn't a dragon. He was executed after the offering the village have done. It is to the south of the village that the offering is done.

Finally, it seems the kobolds are considering Eskaron as their legitimate leader. After meeting Z'zess, I have doubt the kobold was in there by will, but it seems that Z'zess was one of the rare kobold talking to the population. I think if we could have bargain something with the kobold to get our hand on Eskaron, he would likely be the one to deal with. Too late now."

When Opale returns, katherine gives her a bit of a look while she is reporting, then says quietly, "I'd rather you hadn't run off like that on your own, Opale, finding things out and learning people's stories is a bit of a specialty of mine, and at this point I think we've aroused enough suspicion that there's no point in me making a second attempt to fill in any gaps. I think we should maintain our pretense of traveling, and move on out of town. If I have a chance to talk to sina's mother under the guise of gaining more information on her missing child I will, but we should rejoin with the other group and plan the next step..."

"I suppose we shouldn't be suprized that they veiw 'adventurers' with suspicion - their situation here may not be optimal, but it is stable. If a group of rash glory seekers like ourselves kill a few kobalds or only manage to annoy the dragon, it is these villagers who will have to live with the retribution." She sighs, and says half to herself, "When the father is an angry drunk, the mother will learn to just accept that as normal and be upset at the things that arouse his anger instead."
