Smallville #11:Absolute Justice/Season 9/2010

Thanks for the information on Dr Fate.

I think in the Nitrogen plant area, Icicle was on top of his game having just recharged (and Ill admit I also know nothing about him at all), Dr Fate made a decision to save the Manhunter instead of himself.. and I have a feeling there was a lot of Kent Nelson in that decision. I think he had, had enough. He wasnt a well man and the helment seemed as much of a curse as a boon. Icicle may of also been given extra powers by the Smallville writers, to distance himself from the comic book version.

In terms of the police arresting the super powered types, I think they all made the decision to go quietly knowing that if they had of resisted and attacked the police, they were effectively showing themselves as malcontents etc. You are right, there could of been forces opposing their powers.

The actress who plays Tess has some talent. I think though that plot wise, Zod has taken over a lot more of her scenes.

In the comics, Fate has been a bunch of different people--men and women--and the helmet always came in and messed up their lives, or at least interrupted them pretty majorly. Fate as always been more of an office with certain titular powers, rather than the person behind the mask.
