Smallville 5-12 *SPOILERS*

As influential as Luthor is, I still think he'll have a little trouble causing trouble as long as he's in jail. Of course, I have no idea how long he'll be there... maybe just for a few episodes into the next season before he's back, I don't know.

At any rate, I still think that Chloe's safe. Since Pete is leaving the show, that leaves only Lana and Chloe, and if Lana's leaving for Paris, that would leave Clark with only Chloe. While I still think that Chloe might die later in the series, I think she's safe for now, if only because I doubt the writers would leave Clark without any peers on the show. Even if Lana sticks around next season, they'd still need to keep Chloe because, well, the Clark/Lana storyline is boring enough; without Chloe in the mix, it would get stale even faster than it already is. :p

Well, Clark, you son of a :):):):):) you did it to her again. Get her all glazey-eyed, save her life, give her hope you're going to open up and be truthful, and

THEN YOU DO IT TO HER AGAIN. Nice going.

Dip:):):):).

Anyone else getting tired of the same plot development? Maybe she'll stay gone... Nah, not much chance of that. They'll bring her back. SO they can play the same music.

I wonder if I'd regret not watching the final episode. I'm tired of beating the dead horse. :) Give me at least a half-dead one.

I knew the second that Pete got beat that Clark would drop the ball with Lana again. However, I think that next season will truly rock. I want Lana to be gone. She is too much of a crutch for Clark and the show in general. I have faith that the writers have recognized this. Smallville is still one of two shows that I even watch these days.

I think that we may see a dramatic change in cast next season. And I am looking forward to story lines without Lana. I think that his feelings for her have really held him back. They have shown several times in the series that his preoccupation with her has stopped him from helping others.

Also, Lana is the perfect idol for Clark to worship. He never really treats her as a person, rather it is always his feelings that are paramount. She is more an object to him. She sums up his desire to be normal.

Ok, I'm rambling....

Hated this episode (Lana-centered; awful villain; removal of one of the comic's central characters [Pete, not Lana  ]; continued this season's completely inconsistant characterization of the supporting characters; etc.) , but still have high hopes for the season finale.

Belen, I agree with the first part of your statement - Lana needs to go, at least for a long while, but I'm afraid that Lex's Open Ended Ticket means she'll be back, if not by the season openr, then by an episode or two after.

I disagree with the second - Clark's treatment of Lana (except during his red kryptonite phases) has been a heck of a lot more sensitive than has hers of him.

For my part I think they're both treating each other pretty badly. I've been annoyed with the progress (or lack thereof) of their relationship all season... I wish they'd just cut out the whining and break it off for good.

What I hate the most about the situation is that those of us who are fans of the comics already know that they'll break up, but they keep treating it like there's some hope for them. The writers need to face the fact that they're just not meant for each other and stop tormenting those of us who already KNOW how it's going to end. :p

Getting tired? I was tired of it the second time they did it. I wish the people behind the show would make up their damn minds and decide to have them together or not and stop with the back and forth crap.
