Smallville "Insurgence" (Spoilers)

Wow. I just got done watching it, and damn was I impressed. Not much more I can say...the effects of this episode should be interesting to see...especially on Lex and Clark.

What is Martha Kent's Secret?

Remember the episode a while back about the psychic kid that died? At the end of the episode he mentioned something like "Ms. Kent, your secret's safe with me." What was that about?

As for this past episode, it was very well done. I enjoyed the scene after the rescue where the Kent's were all locked in a big group hug, while Lex was left with no-one. I think that will work well into his character, with him growing darker due to lack of affection.

Did anyone notice if Ms. Kent was wearing the watch Lionel gave her?

I was so glad to see it get away from Lana. :)

The devlopment of Lex and Clark has been wonderful and it is interesting to see how Lex is being forced to the dark side by his father. This was shown when he was rejected by his father and was an island unto himself as the Kents thanked their lucky stars, all he had was himself. No trust, no love, just Lex. Easily one of the most complex and interesting villians to make it to TV.

Each week I keep wondering if this one is going to be the one Clark learns to fly. :) I think when it does it will be a surprise.

My greatest fear is that she's pregnant, but after Insurgence I'm hoping it might be that she saw Jor-El when the ship activated at the end of last season. Which would be ten kinds of cool.

This show is incredibly frustrating sometimes. Though the producers said they were trying to move away from the Kryptofreak of the Week, they haven't really left that theme behind. Which is a pity, because the show gets excellent when they spend episodes making the characters evolve (ex. "Lineage" and "Insurgence.") Makes me feel a bit like a dog that gets thrown a chicken bone most of the time, but hangs around because sometimes it gets filet mignon.

And I doubt Martha was wearing the watch Lionel gave her, since she was ready to resign at the end of the episode.
