Smallville.....

Ummmmm Maybe Clark is now sick.

All I do is read the spoilers I didn't actually watch the show. Lost is better :P

And Hal Didn't your kids nearly "kill" you a few weekends ago?

It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Agreed. I especially think the new style she's had in the last few eps makes her look much more mature.

What's up with everyone being super Martial Artist. First its Lana, then Lois and now somehow Clark? I always thought that Superman was good at fighting due to his powers not necessarily his fighting skill (like Batman) but here after Clark in Lionel's body realizes he can't use his superness he automatically can beat a bigger stronger guy? I'm not buying it.

I thought this was a pretty great episode. I enjoyed almost all of it. It's not the best this season, but it was still great.

I''d bet that this was a reference to the very first Superman villain (and arguably the first super-villain ever), the brain-switching Ultra-Humanite, from back in the 40s, and I think that's rather awesome.

The only thing I didn't like was how Chloe and Lana let Clark off so easily for what Lionel did in his body. Especially Chloe. Geez, she's been through so much crap in the course of the show, and she deserves to have something good happen to her for once instead of more emotional roller-coaster rides.

This is a case of the writiers for a television series being deeper than casual watching implies.

There's obviously a psychic component to Superman's powers--which is why he was able to best the thug in Lionel's body and why Lionel's liver isn't about to kill him.

I was under the impression that Lionel was lying/acting about the lost memmory. He remembers everything. He may not know why he was healed, but he still remembers all. His "change of heart" is an attempt to get out of prison or pull strings or do something.

That's definately my take on things too. Lionel remembers everything and that Superman is essentially a spiritual thing as much as an "I'm an alien" thing. That would explain the cured liver too, since Clark when he does manage to get hurt heals very quickly when he gets his powers back. Lionel might not have gotten to be the S-Man like he liked, but he definitely got a fringe benefit from the deal. Of course if they're smart they'll have Lex now thinking that the whole messianic good and evil legend is a reference to his father and him, with Lex playing the part of the savior of humanity. Lex is pretty clearly still clinging to the idea that he's not a villain, that his (meteor and balding) condition makes him special in some way, and trying to find a sense of confidence that will bring him out of the shadow of his father and the enigmatic "born with all good things" deal that is Clark. Hadn't thought about the Fortress of Solitude deal, that would be a pretty sweet way to cue the end of the series actually...

(Thank goodness I have a DVR so I can watch Lost and Smallville both, sheesh)

I'm also guessing Lionel has more than a professional appreciation for Martha Kent, after what happened when Lionel-in-Clark hugged Martha.

I wonder how Clark will patch things up with Chloe and Lana now. I mean, he doesn't have any friends left at school now I guess - Pete left, the people on the football team probably won't look too kindly on him after first signing up, stealing all the glory, and then quitting, and he totally alienated Lana and Chloe. The only one left now is, basically, Lex.

Wow...that is indeed the case, thanks for pointing that out. And yeah, Lionel had that wanted feeling for a long time with Martha, I saw that, when she used to work for him.

Crazy nut, he is(Lionel)...and oh, that tease kiss that Lionel/Clark did to Chloe, was the worst done to her, one day, she might flip out...that will be nice,hehehehe...
