Ok, not d20 enough? I also got Oathbound. by Bastion press, as well as Arms and Armor. And I got the Everquest RPG.
I meant to pick up Oathbound and Arms and Armor, but didn't have time to make it back to the Bastion booth before scuttling off to dinner on Sunday @ GenCon. How do they look? Have a chance to read them yet? Part of me doesn't like Bastion's art, and the other part of me is hypnotized by it.
As for my spending habits, well, as a pro designer I get to claim the RPG stuff I buy as a tax deduction. It all counts as research. And to be honest, I really do need to read a good selection of stuff to keep on top of the biz. Here's what I bought at GenCon:
Call of Cthulhu minis, over a $100 worth. I've been needing some for a long while, and the local stores don't carry them.
Chainmail minis: half-orc assassin, half-elf sorcerer, elf archer, drow boxed set, Monsters II set.
Celtos minis: A cool halfing barbarian (he looks like mini-Ahhnold) and a very cool looking wizard.
Confronation mini: a crazed looking barbarian with a BIG axe.
The Kaiin Player's Guide for the Dying Earth RPG.
Sun & Scale: The Gryphon's Legacy (Gaslight Press, won it via the big puzzle at GenCon)
Lord of the Rings RPG (Decipher)
The Riddle of Steel (A low-magic fantasy game with a detailed but playable (and deadly) combat system.)
Codex Arcanis (Paradigm)
City of the Spider Queen (WotC)
The Resurrected III: Out of the Vault (CoC scenarios from Pagan Publishing)
Godlike RPG (Comp copy)
Recent Non-GenCon Stuff:
Robin's Laws of Good Gaming (Steve Jackson Games)
Call of Cthulhu d20 Screen (Haven't read the contents, but the screen is.... ehhh. Too small by far, plus the GM's side is black text printed on a blue background. Is it me, or does Chaosium hate us d20 gamers?)
Hammer and Helm (Green Ronin, as a dwarf junkie I really liked this one)
Latest issues of Dungeon and Dragon
Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation (nifty 2-player boardgame)
