So.. what did you buy this month?

Well, we're only halfway through the month, but so far...

Hammer & Helm - A Guidebook to Dwarves
Epic Level Handbook
HERO System Bestiary
Path of the Sword
Silver Age Sentinels RPG Deluxe Limited Edition
Mercenaries
Encyclopedia Arcane: Elementalism
Quintessential Dwarf
Slayer’s Guide to Orcs
Slayer’s Guide to Rules Lawyers

I picked up a total of 6 game books in July, and 10 in June, so the total for August *could* top the two previous months combined.

I guess getting 25% off everything is a false economy. :)

Of Sound Mind
The Drow Issue of Dragon
Chainmails Tiefling Fighter
A random assortment of Mage Knight booster packs that I intend to use as DnD mini's.

That's about it. It's been a very light month.

Hey Barendd Nobeard, I have not seen any reviews of the "The End" -- what do you think?

Recently I have bought
ELH
Silver Marches
Banewarrens ( get it ! )

My short term wish/plan list now includes ( in no particular order ):

Oathbound
City of the Spider Queen
Monsternomicon
MM II
Relica and Rituals II
Book of Vile Darkness
Kalamar Villan Design

but I might need a loan from mearls to afford all these - sheeesh indeed!

I bought Mystic Eye Games's Giant Monster Rampage at Gen Con.

I would've bought Green Ronin's Mutants and AMsterminds had it been available.

Mostly what I bought was drinks.

Here's what I picked up at Gen Con:

1) Necropolis
2) Banewarrens
3) Relics and Rituals II
4) Ork!
5) Deadlands D20
6) 10 War Machine Minis (Privateer Press)

Current Wish List
1) Monsternomicon
2) Nocturnum D20
3) Horrors o the Weird West

War Machine is awesome! Ork! looks like a lot of fun and Deadlands so far is much better than I anticipated. Onto Banewarrens next.

2000 brick to start my new kiln, and an erotic scrimshaw from the han dynasty:D

oh, wait, did you mean for gaming? well, um, swords into plowshares, and tf+t, oh! and a pound o' dice!!! excellent buy!

Oathbound rules!

I was walking around on like.. Friday when I first saw it. I didn't buy it. I was walking around again on Saturday between running games and had another (longer) look at it. It just freaked me out. That night I finally decided that was the main thing I needed from Gen Con (besdeis the Everquest RPG, which I bought almost completely out of curiousity).

On Sunday, just before we left, I made a beeline for it and bought it right off- the art is *weird*, yes. It has this kind of high-schooly First Edition AD&D feel, like it was done by Sutherland or a pre-teen Dave Trampier or something, and colored in with crayolas. But it's really, really interesting to look at. And I end up liking the art the more I look at it.

The setting is like.. d20 Planescape crossed with Tekumel or something. It's kind of a setting.. and kind of like a whole cap-system with it's own weird races and spells and stuff. Like there's a jellyfish race available to PCs. And they have "prestige races"; You can buy mutations for your character after a certain point. One of the Prestige Race paths is "way of the Shadow" where your shadow seperates from your body and actually acts as armor.

Supposedly it's like a demi-plane or a prison-plane or something, so you could use it with an existing campaign (as long as you had access to some form of planar travel). Comes with a big adventure and bunch of other stuff. Arms and Armor is built for it, so they go hand in hand.

There's a 14 page preview at the Bastion Press site (http://bastionpress.com). Take a look at the art and you'll see what I mean.
