So.. what did you buy this month?

Bought Hero 5th edition at the beginning of the month. Bought a Kalamar adventure (can't remember the name, I have so many) yesterday.

Told my local dealer to put a halt on my E-Tools order now that I know a bit more about it and how it doesn't quite suit my campaign the way PCGen does. Told him to get me a copy of the EverQuest RPG instead.

Does MM2 come out this month? I see WotC posted the art gallery already...

I got R&R2 on pre-order and I'll probably order MM2 as well.

But for now it's a short list but it will grow when the income does. :)

That's the one with the GM screen, adventure, corrected sheets, etc, right? What did you think of it? I saw it but I wasn't sure it was worth dropping the $20 on...

Don't waste your money.

There is a very in-depth review of all the components here at EN World. I haven't looked over the GM Pack with quite such a critical eye, but the review looks pretty accurate to me.

You can download a GM screen from ema's homepage. Don't know the URL off the top of my head, but there's a link to it on my CoC page (right hand column, about 3 or 4 down from the top). Might as well print your own.

Several players compiled errata, which is posted on Monte Cook's CoC d20 message board (also linked from my CoC page). Apparently, when Chaosium asked for errata, someone at WotC just handed them a copy of this fan-compiled list, without mentioning where it came from. So, you can get the errata for free from Monte's message boards.

Spend your $20 (plus 5 more) on Nocturnum instead. I haven't read it yet, but it's got to be better. :D

Hey Barendd Nobeard, I have not seen any reviews of the "The End" -- what do you think?

I love "The End"--I bought the "collector's edition" and it promptly disappeared. So I bought another one at GenCon, the new supplement ("Boston Massacre") and a backup copy of the rules. OK, so I'm paranoid.

The setting is great. We're all familiar with it, but there are a few differences. Nature is taking over; reclaiming its own, so to speak. Lots of animals are dire-type versions of more familiar beasts. "The Blues" (accelerated rate of decay for man-made items that are not maintained/used on a regular basis), makes life harder. And, of course, several different "colonies" have been created out of the mess that was left behind.

I can't wait to play it. But since I'll probably never find a game, I'll just have to run it instead. I will finally have to get off my duff and run a game for adults. (The only game I run right now is with all young (12 and under) players.)

It's a d20 game, but you don't get a lot of h.p. in "The End"--how does d2 h.p. per level after 1st sound? That's not a typo--it's a two. (You get h.p. = Con at first level.)

I think it will be a role-play intensive game. Combat is deadly (firearms, low h.p., etc.), so you can't just "shoot-em-up" like some other games.

I might do the game online (email or message board). If I do, I'll may make a Story Hour out of it....

Well just and update but now I've pre-order Calastia: Throne of the Black Dragon AND also the first adventure in the Serpent Amphora Cycle: Serpent in the Fold. Can't wait! :D

Most of my purchases were from GenCon recently.

11 boosters, Mechwarrior: Dark Ages
2 starters, Mechwarrior: Dark Ages
1 booster, DC Heroclix
1 starter, DC Heroclix
1 booster, Marvel Heroclix
Book of Eldritch Might I & II (50% at GenCon)
Pages from the Faithful
Sword of Roele (BR adventure)
Sword and Crown (BR Adventure)

Spycraft (Only non GenCon purchase)

I think I have spent too much this month! :)

Oh yeah! I also picked up E-tools but it was free. Won the very first copy on Friday during WoTC's "spin the wheel" contest.
