So, what do you want to play?

The new description about the cleric has me intrigued. I want to see more of this on Wizards.com to get a feel of what's changed.

I was originally leaning towards a warlock, but the new focus of the cleric really works for me. Once we find out more about their powers, rituals and the gods, I might actually want to play one again.

Too little info to make me go, "I want to play that!" That, and I'm a DM, so I'll end up playing it all, anyway...no wait, I won't play anything? Damn, confusing.... :\

Swordmage, first and foremost.

Following that, I am definitely interested in seeing the warlord's and rogue's powers--particularly the mobility-based abilities of the latter. From what I know now, I'd definitely be interested in playing either of these.

Nothing I've heard has really gotten me interested in playing a warlock, cleric, ranger, or wizard yet. Fighter and paladin seem interesting enough, but I'm not anxious for either.

More than anything I want to play a wizard. I long for playing a wizard that doesn't become a useless crossbow-carrier at some point in the day. If a longstanding post-apocalypic Realms game I'm in is going to 4e, my character will become an Eladrin wizard multiclassed into ranger or druid. If I start in a new game, I might make a tiefling wizard.

I haven't played a paladin in a long time, largely because they stink in 3e, so I'd be eager to try one. Probably a traditional human, or maybe a dragonborn. If it's possible to gain wizard or cleric rituals through multiclassing or feats, I'll definitely do that.

I am involved in a lot of different campaigns (all of which will be switching to 4e shortly after the release).

DM Class (I will be relaunching an old D&D homebrew of mine with a 4e facelift)

As for playing ...

Human or tiefling warlock (Waterdeep 4e game)

Human wizard (4e POL campaign inspired by the old Caves of Chaos)

Still usure on the other campaigns. I want to try out a monk, a rogue and a fighter (possibly warlord instead) in the next edition asap. I am not terribly interested in clerics/barbarians/druids/rangers in any edition.

Human Cleric - I almost always play a Human Cleric of some type when I game in D&D. Baring that.

Eladrin Warlock - With the Demonic pact. Red was always my favorite color.

Halfling Ranger - I just have this concept in my head...

A dwarf. Probably a fighter. Maybe a warlord or unaligned Paladin if that is allowed.

I basically only ever play dwarven fighter types, or human assassins. Sometimes I'll change it up and play a dwarven assassin! :)

Well since I will be a DM for our game, I have the fun-job of creating interesting NPCs to have my party deal with/join their party.

So far I have:

- A tiefling/ranger who used to belong to a caravan-community. In classic D&D style the caravan was attacked in a town by the townsfolk. She survived but now patrols the roads secretly shielding those few travellers who step out onto the road from the darkness in the woods beyond.

- A "human"/ranger Stalker. Stalkers in my world are a special breed of man, who is placed on the literal scent of monsters or magic-users (magic-users are viewed hostility in my world) and track them down with various soldiers following to go in the for the kill.

This Stalker I plan to doggedly pursue the PCs and slowly lead them up north towards his city/secret keeps where a secret war is raging between the various Stalker Houses.

- Eladrin/wizard who has been lived decades in the ghettos of one of the major-cities, her connection to the Feywild caught off in the midst of the Spellplague.

- Human/rogue he is a minor character and in more regards a tour-guide who gives the PCs a inside view of the major-city, Greycliff. This city is unlike anything the PCs have seen before with its high-walls and buildings, filthy streets and advanced technology.

The first character I build will probably be a female human warlord along the lines of what I conceived for as an Iconic. The first character I want to play is a male eladrin wizard/warlord, a leader of mages, specifically an Aundarian veteran of the Last War, if it were Eberron.
