So what's the deal with "Midnight"?

No worries, Ashrem, just trying to be helpful. Here's an idea that's a compromise...

When the situation calls for it, post a link to the review and ALSO include a selection from the most relevant part of the review as a teaser. A question about Midnight magic? Slap that part in a post with a link to the rest, and everyone wins: the questioner, your review, and the flow of the thread. :)

Works for me. Its not really a big deal though. ;)

I can't believe I'm not hearing more talk about our announcement over at AtS.

I got one of that on Amazon, it can be returned but right now I am looking for a librarian to rebind it for me, don't want to part with it.

Before buying I mailed FFG and they said that there will be a 2nd print being run sometime on the next couple of months, has been a month since that and I believe it won't take long, last I chekced they have stoped selling the Setting book on their page.

You can both wait or just hope you are not part of us, many copies are good though..

I just ordered Midnight. You folks have convinced me.

Baa.

No, but I'm really looking forward to picking it up :) Now if only I can usurp my group and become DM again!

hahahaha... I have more players than I like to Dm to, and less time than it would be needed to Dm for all of them...

Anyway a friend's mother is a librarian and she is gonna make the rebind thing for me... FOR FREE!!!

You should wait i it suits you, but buying it and be ready with glue to prevent falling pages would work, i know at least one guy did it, he said about it at the AtS.org website forums...

By the way if you want to be part of the midnight community of addicts, go to <www.againsttheshadow.org> and be sure you see veerything it offers...

I am a gm who recently started another Midnight campaign. We had our first playing session Tuesday evening. It went well, and since I had several discussions with the players about the Midnight setting and what we all would like to come out of it, I am have a feeling it will turn out better than most campaigns I have been a part of. I was unaware of the Tome Of Sorrows creation, and am eagerly awaiting its release.

People must make a habit to see AtS.org, but know what? The news on the Tome of Sorrows madee the main news page, thanks to my scoop... take that ash!

:)

We are getting near completion.

Man..... I'm tired.... *YAWN*

I'm hoping for a release early next week.

I picked up Midnight on a whim, having pretty much sworn off new D&D settings. After all, I wasn't likely to run one of the dozen or so I've already got.

However, a couple of folks I trusted spoke highly of it, so I bought the main book. At the time I was working on a writing gig that was very much NOT in the fashion of Midnight and didn't want to get distracted, so it sat for a few weeks. When I finally had the chance to start reading it, I went out and bought everything for it the next day.

If I manage to convince my crew into letting me run D&D, Midnight will be the setting of choice. Like others have said, it's very close to the sort of world I've always wanted to create myself.
