Could it be just the opposite. Maybe Scared lands will get the full treatment that Kalamar and Ravenloft. Fully licenced game books that get to avoid OGL restrictions.

Mystara/Hollow World/Red Coast rules. If anyones interested in publishing it i'll order 2 advance copies now. I'm running my current campaign in Karameikos and following the Poor Wizards Almanacs for background stuff. The group is heading for RttToEE but after that i might run them through Hollow World a little.

What I think would be pretty cool (but wouldn't happen) is if WOTC licensed out an alternate Greyhawk out to Gary Gygax, based on his view of his world, not someone elses. And if Dave Arneson got Blackmoor back.

FWIW, I think Birthright was a cool setting, but I don't think it ever sold very well. Which is why WOTC axed it almost immediately after buying TSR (though they at least put out the last regional supplement...).

Still, IMHO, it would have been cool if they had made BR into a miniatures game, or a miniatures game for it that tied into the regular rules.

Sorry I just don't see it. As much I as love the Scarred Lands, I DOUBT it will get official treatment. Anyway RL3e doesn't have to go through WotC's R&D like KoK does. All RL3e does is have the guys at the Karg write, and the people at WW/Arthaus do the editing and layout, while the S&SS people handle the distribution.
