So, who has played a Warlock?

One tip, Baleful Utterance is amazing at low levels. The big bad half-orc barbarian has a greatsword? Not anymore. Oh, there's a door in my way? No problem. What's that Mr. DM, a stalactite above the enemies?

Baleful Utterance is the only invocation I've banned in my games. It's just two flexible.

Not in any of the games that I play in.

What you do in your campaign is, of course, up to you. But the FAQ does allow items that, for instance, add +2 to Dex (to make a total of 13 Dex) to allow one to access a feat (such as Dodge, that requires a 13 Dex) with the proviso that if the item were lost, the feat would be inaccessable. I was trying to find a "temporary prerequisite" that would last long enough for the character to get the feat, and to then access a more permanent prerequisite, and actually use the feat.

Haven't actually played one as a PC, but I used a Kobold Warlock 2 against my party with limited success (my to hits sucked!).

I've seen enough that I've cooked up a Warlock 6 as a good mid-level Villain. I love that he can make such good use of all the stuff his Wizard and Cleric associates can make for him. I like the idea that he can use all this stuff, plus his social skills and enough other things to make him seem much more powerful than he really is.
