I wish they would just trust the community to buy the game, and pay to use the PHB. I GENERALLY dont love their subclasses or subraces in Solasta.

I get it though. Who wouldn't want to put their dream homebrew in a video game? It's like asking a happy kid to ONLY color within the lines. You can practically feel the excitement coming off the devs.

I liked a lot of the homebrew classes, though there were definitely a few misses (I think the sorcerer subclasses, in particular, lacked focus), and I really missed the Battlemaster. Licensing the PHB would definitely up appeal to a general audience though, especially after the success of BG3.

Some standouts I really liked, like the Tree Warlock. Just overall, I wish I was able to use PHB subclasses for most of the classes.
