Indeed. :)

Kitcik - Quick Draw is much more useful if your DM is kind enough to rule that it also allows sheathing your weapon as a free action. In my campaigns, I always allow this in an effort to bump the usefulness of the feat.

I'm playing a 10th level character right now in one game (a twin weapon fighting dervish), and there have actually been several times I wished my PC had quick draw. :D

For many years we had this quick draw does not mean quick sheath issue in our games. I have only recently worked with a friend and fellow DM to come up with a houserule we find quite fair. Basically you take Quick Draw and get all the benefits listed. In addition if you have Weapon Focus you can also quick sheath that weapon. It makes it so you can't infinitely switch ALL weapons unless you have the right feats.
The main reason we had this was due to the issue of quick draw on a TWF returning dagger-thrower. Turn 1 they would let lose their 4 daggers. Turn 2 some or all of them would come back (depending on how many "returning" qualities were on the blades" and they would only have 2 hands to catch them.

Yeah, but they are just...daggers. ;)

In the party i'm currently playing we have a Master Thrower (CompWar)...
Quick Draw had proven to be more useful than meets the eye..
Because he either throws daggers or fights with two scimitars in melee, Quick draw helps quite a lot for changing weapons fast and for not losing Full-round-actions.
IMO every character who uses different weapons, or weapons + other stuff (spells wands, scrolls etc), should at least consider it at some point... its pretty valuable...

Then you sobered up and realized the feats you actually selected were much more useful.

Of course, it would be nice to have (almost) every feat, but some just don't make the cut. I am not trying to hijack the thread to discuss the merits of Quick Draw. I am just trying to make the point that some feats suck and you should avoid them even if they are utile in certain limited circumstances. Feat slection is very important - don't just grab the one that would've helped last session.

There's a skill trick in Complete Scoundrel called Hidden Blade. Its prerequisite is Quick Draw. What if you want to use this skill trick with Shuriken (ammunition; drawing is a free action) would you still need Quick Draw?

Well, because the PC has levels of Dervish, he already has a couple of feats that are "sub-par."

Per the RAW, yes. The Hidden Blade skill trick requires the Quick Draw feat, and thus there is no way around having that feat if you want to use the skill trick. However, if your DM was flexible enough, he could wave the prereq for his game.
