Someone is Bringing Pizza to the Game Tonight

I first discovered Godfather's in Manhattan, KS, and was pleased to find one near my house when I moved to Irving, Tx.

However, it closed a few years after I moved there...

Now, there was a family run place called Oggi's that was fantastic...then it closed.

Maybe I offended the Gods of Pizza somehow.

You know, the fact that I now play/run in three to four games a week has actually made me kind of bored with pizza. I mean I'm not totally sick of it, but it no longer generates the level of excitement it used to.

Nowadays, we eat home cooked food between games: mashed potatoes and roast beef, tapa and rice, spicy chicken pasta and grilled salmon.

However, I will say that I am indeed, a fan of the anchovy.

Oggi's! I was in San Diego at the end of April, and we went to an Oggi's there, and it was excellent. Great pizza.

I'm not sure its the same one- this one seemed to be family owned...though they could have been bringing in family from another state, I suppose!

They had a pizza buffet which had the usual suspects like pepperoni, but also white pizzas and other exotics. They also had salad and pasta bars.

You can add as many anchovies as you want! I'm going to make my friends eat infinite anchovies and they'll have to do it because the recipe says so!

Cookbook 2.0 fixes this little bug. But the pizzas are now square shaped and are sans toppings unless you buy the Pizza Build Kit.
