Soooo when the gaming gets slow you should....

As gamers are frustratingly flakey to begin with, the enworld site problems just just push this form of "entertainment" that much farther down an already long list of possible distractions. It comes down to sifting through the mass of players until you find the dedicated few that ARE willing and able to honor that once a day posting commitiment (this includes DMs). Even though all 4 of the games in my signature have ground to a halt, I still check the site several times a week for new games that fall within the narrow list books that I have access to.

The quality post seems to be something of both a blessing and a curse with the unreliability of the site. I know all of us have written beautifully elegant story blocks, only to find out that the site has timed us out or gone down while we pouring our souls onto the page. I try to keep a lost entry word file going for this eventuallity to keep my frustration level down.

I can't complain:
The only game I'm DMing goes so fast, even with 7 players, that although I have much written down, I find myself lacking the necessary time to keep my players rhythm. I guess it might be luck, or the fact that I make an all player IC update post every two days or so. It's funny to see the speed of the players when it has been 4 days without update :p Sorry guys, if you are reading this, but it IS funny.

In the games I play as player, well, maybe I'm in too many to don't have a post a day to make, but sometimes a particular game gets interesting, and I can't wait to get a response. This are the moments in which I start to look for another game, and so on, until I'm completely swamped. That is now.

Excuse my stinky English.

Yeah. L4W is at that moment when the plane is shaking because of take off, and it's like shake-shake-shake and you're like any-minute-now but it just goes shake-shake-shake and then..... .... ..... ....

To be properly on-topic...
Many of the games I'm in are dead too...

Victim is always dependable; KKs run about 300% smoother since he took over from me.
And games I DM have, with bumps and starts, kept going (though my KotS game is veering into TPK land... but that's despite enthusiastic, regular posting by all my players).

[sblock=Aside]I'm really thrilled that ata pushed ePoL back into action; it's a lot easier when you can just run the game without also trying to drum up interest (Redclaw did it once before so in a sense I'm quite blessed with players).[/sblock]

But there was a day or two when everything else seemed dead (I'm in close to seven games as a player). Some DMs are in a rough patch and have posted to that effect, others seem to just have disappeared.

It's a bit weird I guess, but as I indicated L4W took a lot of time so that's OK.
