Sorcerers should use Con not Cha

So my understanding of the Sorcerer is that they use magic that comes from within them. Dragon sorcerers could have dragon blood in their veins, while chaos sorcerers could have a family history tied to the elemental chaos. Of course this is the 4e definition but as far as i know sorcerers have had a natural talent for magic, so that they don't need to study the way a wizard does.

So here is what i think. It makes no sense to me that they can make this power stronger if they are better talkers. If they are pulling this magic out from somewhere inside of them, they should be using Con. It just makes more sense to me that way.

What do you guys think?

While there is some merit in what you say, I see one downside to it off the cuff: It would make dragon-bloodline sorcerers even better fighters than they already are!

Also, charisma isn't just better talking, it includes willpower. And what are the sorcerer's magic points called?

i suppose thats a good point too but i still think it would be really cool to give them Con instead i mean warlocks and bards both use Cha already thats alot for "arcane" classes that use Cha

Actually, it seems that warlocks now use Int, as they're pretty focussed on forbidden lore. They get a +1 to Int, Dex, or Con.

I think it makes sense. I've always thought that if D&D should have a Charisma based spellcaster, it should be a witch.

It's a classic archetype both in fiction and folklore. It's always seemed odd there wasn't an official one.

Charisma makes the most sense to me. It's not just social presence, it's force of personality and confidence. I think that is a perfect match for the sorcerer's innate magic that is controlled through sheer force of will.

Constitution is endurance, health, fortitude and stamina. I don't really see how being healthy or tough would make someone a better sorcerer.
