I didn't think that Sorcerers could use Quicken Spell.

They can't use it... well, they can't use it without the Arcane Preparation feat or the Incantatrix' Instant Metamagic ability, that is! :)

For your metamagics, consider the following two feats:
Chain Spell.
Twin Spell.

Especially with the enchantments, these metamagics can be a great help. Need to sway a tavern full of commoners, chain a charm spell. You really want the bad guy to fail a save, twin a dominate person.

I thought about both of these. The Chain Spell feat is very good, altho the secondary targets get a +4 on their saves.

I've chosen Empower Spell, since it will make those lower level damage spells more useful at higher levels. I'd really like to have Chain Spell in addition to that, I have a lot of spells that would work very well with it, but have no idea what to drop...

I could lose Heighten Spell, but I think it's just too important as a Sorcerer to better utilize those lower level spells at higher levels thereby increasing the options you have for higher level attacks. Or maybe lose Spell Penetration until Level 18? ;)

Twin Spell is also a very good feat, but you can't have them all, I suppose! :)

Also, consider fortify spell from Unapproachable East. Sort of like heighten spell but raises spell pen. I would go with that rather than the actual spell pen feat if I was you.

Don't have this book myself, but will take a look into that one, thanks for the tip! :)

But if it raises spell level to add to caster level checks, I think I'd prefer Spell Penetration still, as it works with all levels (and more important, works with the highest spell levels currently available).

Rahja, hm ? You played DSA, didn't you :) ?
Read Feist ? Very good books. Do you aim for the path of Pug ?
Sorry, no good spell proposals from my side. There are many real good already in this thread.
I don't think I would drop Dispel Magic. It's good enough for many spell like abilities of medium to higher level monsters. And it's far cheaper than Greater Dispel Magic.
I would take improved initiative earlier since it can be a life saver at medium levels.
I think UMD is a very good idea since there is no rogue in your party. Get some wands and scrolls and it enhances your versatility a lot.

Actually... no (at least not really, only once or twice and that's been a long time ago)! :)

Nope, altho I heard they are very good reads.

Was going to get it in level 1, but then I discovered the need for Knowledge (planes) and so it had to go for Education.

Damn. I just submitted a Wizard to play a PbP adventure... if I had read this thread and realized how many spells a Sorcerer can actually know, and how useful a good selection may prove, I would have made a Sorcerer instead.
