Sorcery and Cecilia, or the Enchanted Chocolate Pot

Has anyone else read this book? It's a great read. Set in the Victorian age, with magic; much like Jonathon Strange & Mr. Norrel. It's written as a series of letters between the two protagonists. Evidently the result of Patricia C. Wrede and Caroline Stevermer playing the letter game. Loads of fun.

I too recently finished reading Sorcery & Celia and I thought it was great. I'm now reading The Grand Tour, which is pretty good, but I'm not enjoying as much as the first book. I was amazed to find out that the OOP original PB copies are so hard to find and can cost $45-$100. Of course, my mother amazed me again by having found me a 1st edition printing a while back. :D
If you like these 2 books, try Mairlion the Magician & Magician's Ward, both by Wrede. Both were great books and I'm kinda hoping that there might be a third book in the series sometime in the future.

$45! Gads, I still have mine. I picked up the sequel, and enjoyed it quite a bit too, though not as much as the first.

3rd book in series coming out

I'm waking this old thread up to post that a third book in this series is going to be coming out this year. The newest issue of Locus came this weekend it shows "The Mislaid Magician, or Ten Years After" by Wrede & Stevermer to be coming out Oct. '06. I'm pretty excited myself. :)

Excellent! Thanks for the info! I'll keep an eye out for that. I still haven't managed to find a copy of The Grand Tour, though.
