Hmm, weasels mostly attack smaller animals. Make them brave against Small critters but likely to flee against anything tougher/bigger?

Where did you get that idea from? For their size, weasels and their kin (stoats, polecats, et cetera) are among the more ferocious of the mammalian carnivores.

They regularly kill prey multiple times their own weight, such as chickens and rabbits.

Wikipedia: "Weasels feed on small mammals, and have from time to time been considered vermin since some species took poultry from farms, or rabbits from commercial warrens."

They're not going after anything super-big or threatening there. But I guess it does go on to say they have a reputation for being vicious. Well, anyway, I probably just misunderstood what wiki was trying to say....
