Well, I'd say the hypnotic confusion and domination both look pretty good. Though we might need a more distinctive name for the domination. Hmm.

Your link is broken there, Shade. ;)

How about "Dominating Merge"? I think "hypnotic confusion" is ok, though, at least not likely to be confused with any other ability (pardon the pun ;)).

Pun pardoned. :p

Here's a fixed link.

"Dominating Merge" works for me.

60 feet range for deathwatch?

Ghostlights can communicate by a very limited form of telepathy that extends only to the range of their touch.

That's a bit odd, eh? Stick with telepathy with a range of touch, or extend it to say, 5 feet so it's less mechanically complicated?

60 ft works.

Yes, let's do 5 ft for simplicity. Otherwise, it sounds like they might just as well dominate the victim.

Updated.

Skills: 5 at 12 ranks
Wisp has Bluff, Listen, Search, Spot

The creature’s clever enough to seek out a chance for a surprise attack or a stealthy, silent rush from the rear when its victim isnt’ looking.

Strong support for Move Silently.

They’re likely to seek out powerful monsters in their hunting grounds and strike a bargain to lead prey to the monster in exchange for the priviledge of feeding on the vcitim’s life essence; Of course, ghostlights’re fickle and treacherous things by their nature, and they’ll not hesitate a moment to feed on their partner if the battle goes poorly.

Bluff, eh?

If a cutter can find any way of holding a ghostlight to its word, he’ll find that the creature makes an excellent guide. It knows its lands extremely well and can tell a body the exact location of any predator bigger than a fox that regularly hunts its lands. It’s also quite knowledgeable about dangerous terrain, portals or conduits, and other such things. Ghostlights can occasionally be bribed with gems, but most often they’ll want payment in food.

Knowledge (the planes) and possibly Survival?

Feats: Weapon Finesse (B), 4 more
Wisp has Alertness, Blind-Fight, Dodge, Improved Initiative

Bluff, Know (planes), Move Silently, Spot, Survival for skills, Flyby Attack, Dodge, Mobility and an Ability Focus for feats. Perhaps dominating merge is the lucky ability?

Updated.

Suggested racial bonus on Disguise checks to resemble a torch (as we decided upthread upon ditching dancing lights)?

Organization: Solitary, pair, or string (3–4)?

Challenge Rating: 7-8 (energy drain and domination is worth at least a CR or 2 over the standard wisp)
