D&D (2024) Speculation on the art in the new core books

I'm hoping for better halfling art. I liked the 3e/4e "tiny badass" look for halflings rather than the horrors they have in the 2014 PHB.

I hope they bother to depict less common species/race and class combos, like Orc Wizards, Dwarf Bards, Gnome Barbarians and so on.

Yeah, the half-orc paladin in the 3E PHB was a great mind-expanding piece of art back in the day. More of that would be good.

The blue dragon looks quite different, in spite of having the same snout-horn as it's had since 3e.

I mostly LOVE all the little changes. In particular, the green's maple-leaf wings (NOT just because I'm Canadian, either! it's because I've long felt that the green's design was the least interesting. This is pretty cool.)

Blue always had the horn, it just was not as noticeable prior to 3e.

Huh. I remember those pictures, but I had not noticed the horn until it became all rhino-like. You are right.

The new blue dragon is awesome. I love the slender, serpentine look.
