spell casting for real - which one?

I don't think I would be able to stand all the demands people would make, that is why I didn't select healing spells. And I definately think that anything along the lines of raise dead would create more problems than it would solve.


On a side note, I've not seen much in the way of necromancy spells on this list, yet still there are a lot of offensive type spells. They ought to rename the schools of evocation and enchantment, destruction and domination respectively. They certainly strike me as the most "evil" schools of magic.

Lightning bolt does has a certain charm, but for everyday use I think the most useful spell might be a persistant prestidigitation.

Although having use of a spell such as Geas could be quite usefull if you fancied yourself as a judge/jury/rehabilitator type.

Maybe though a good one could be plant growth. Make deals with farmers in pesticide/fertiliser intensive systems to give them a economically viable green alternative as well as blessing tree-planting days and things like that.

I'd just take Wish and get all of the other spells. Or at least Wish for the ability to take levels in Sorcerer (like I'm going to find two spells every level in, what, the library?)

Charm person, hands down.

Work life, social life, surly government employees, all would be rendered easy and simple to deal with, provided I could be a manipulative beast who rode roughshod over other people's feelings.

Actually, I might need Charm Monster to affect my boss as I am not sure he is a humanoid.

Detect Thoughts would be useful, too.

And don't forget Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion. Hmmm...yes, that would be nice...

Fabricate- I would piss of so many construction crews with this one.
Wish (if no XP cost)- Mainly I'd wish for epic spellcasting ability >_<
Genisis (the psionic version)- The fun i could have with this one boggles the mind.
Stoneskin- Then id go piss off some gangsters for fun .
Astral Construct- what do you mean i cant get in, my friend bubba says i can .
Sustenence- if that doesnt help me get rid of excess weight, nothing will.
Fly- I would sell all of my posessions just for this one spell.
Gate- just because its fun.
Poly Any Object- *grins evily* oh ill figure out something.
True Telekenisis- wheeeee.
Teleport without error
Detect thoughts- Another one i would give my right arm for.
