Kinda biased towards being "Bad" eh?

I like it, read it at the bookstore, can't wait to buy it. :)

This is a book that like Unearthed Arcana would have been twice as useful to me (as a DM) if it were a PDF.

If I were a player it is more useful in its current format, though being able to print out just the spells my caster has would also be useful.

I'd say it's worth the money from the quick flip-through I did of a friend's copy during a game. Mine should be on its way from a vendor off ebay who sells his books for 30% off + free shipping if you spend over $30.

Since I have just about 0 of the spells in the book... an unquestioned 'yes'.

Mine should be shipped soon and I'm looking forward to it.

I just picked it up today. The owner of my FLGS said to me that it was selling well, and mostly for my reason: right now, I need to bring both Complete Arcane and Libris Mortis to games wherein I play my necromancer. Now I need only bring one book. (Well, Tome and Blood too, but that isn't such a big deal, being a small softcover and all.)

I voted "nice to have" on general principle. I probably do have upwards of 80% of the material therein. However, spells are one thing my players like to mine more than any type of crunch, and sifting through all my dragons and WotC sourcebooks to glean a cool spell or two just ain't going to happen.

*IF* they had produced a book that contains *all* of the spells ever published for 3.0/3.5, from every source (Dragon magazine, Web Enhancements, along with *every* single published product for 3.0/3.5) and they *didn't* rename any of the spells, I'd consider picking it up.

As somebody who doesn't really want to keep up with Splatbook Of The Month, one big book with (almost) all the spells in it is really a good thing.

But it doesn't. Doesn't even come close. It has "some" of them.

Does the Spelll Compendium only assemble existing spells, or does it have new spells?

I have many of the original sources, but rarely do I have the ability to bring all of them to a game, and often I forget about them, just because I read about a particular one in a supplement I purchased X months ago.
