Gvido takes a look around the tavern, but cannot pin where the mysterious statue came from. He takes a swig of ale, giving Hugo a hard look. For a moment the other Latvians tense up, wondering if he will accuse Hugo Van Haan of cheating. "Barely beat him?" He snorts indignantly at Katerina's remark, only painful because he knows it's true. Gvido opens his mouth again to reply harshly to Nia, but shuts it as she has gotten him to contemplate his answer. "Well, er, ah... what do you say, brauli?" He calls over his shoulder to the Latvian mercenaries behind him.
There's a moment of shouting in Latvian, and finally the chorus dies down, and one of them - a large fellow with a mop of hair covering his eyes - speaks for the rest of the men in a slow voice, "Fair shares for each of us, and second pick after the officers of any weapons recovered from treasure we find or ships we take. Oh, and permission to wrestle aboard the ship."
Gvido sighs, realizing his men have spoken for him. Feigning indifference, he casts a mischievous glance at Hugo, "Well, I suppose I'd better join on just to teach this rascal a thing or two about proper insult arm wrestling... Aye, the nine of us will join with your crew, Lady Captain, if you accept our terms."
