(OOC - Awkward. I seem to have lost my little thingy that told me what spell slots I'd used. I think I'm out of 2nd level though)

Nia curses as Etienne is overcome by the creature's attacks, and with a quick call of an old name, and a flourish of a finger, she calls on the spirits to help him. Their aid, requested so peremptorily, will cost later on...but for now it could save his life.

"Get clear, Etienne!" she called sharply, and let another arrow fly, targeting the larger creature again. Their only chance was to remove it as quickly as possible!

(Healing Word as a bonus action for [roll0] healing on Etienne, then longbow attack on Alpha [roll1] for [roll2] damage)

Blaise's deftly aimed shot punches a hole through the side of the worm rearing up over Etienne and Katerina. The monstrosity drops like a stone, even as Etienne crawls back behind Katerina and manages to rest his back against a stalagmite. Saline slime covers his wounded torso and legs, but he is alive.

The massive hideous blue form of the queen worm looms over Katerina, about to descend on the captain, when Nia's dead-eyed arrow flies through its gaping beak, imbedding in the worm's palate. With a ear-piercing shriek, the worm lashes left and right in its death throes, collapsing at Katerina's feet amidst a shower of rubbled rock.

The glowing missiles launched from Old Zef's fingertips tear through the last of the worms, dropping its fell carcass steaming to the sea cave floor. Even as the momentary light of the missiles fades, the heap of dead worms seeming to blend in with the existing rock too easily, in the eerie quiet that follows it is now evident that there indeed is a narrow single-file passage concealed behind the stalactites meeting stalagmites in the northern corner of the chamber.

GM: When/if you guys decide to proceed through the passage, please note your marching order and who has light sources. Thanks!

Old Zef bends down and picks up his pebble of light, and shines it around the cave ensuring nothing else lurked in the shadows. He then looks at Kat. "What next gezagvoerder?"

That is... ominous...

Old Zef bends down and picks up his pebble of light, and shines it around the cave ensuring nothing else lurked in the shadows. He then looks at Kat. "What next gezagvoerder?"

"Next is can anyone get Eitenne on his feet better so I can kill him?" Kat said through gritted teeth. "Next is nobody runs off and does anything stupid. Next is when we make a plan WE ALL FOLLOW IT!" she hisses pointedly at Zef.
