SPELLS & SPELLCRAFT: The Greatest d20 Rulebook? YES!!!

No offense meant, Upper Krust :) --- I'm just tired of waiting for your system to come out and it seems a bit too complicated (& math-heavy) for me from what I've seen of it in the threads... Having a quick, simple system now is more important to me than a more lengthy, complex system later. Spells & Spellcraft gives me the basic tools I need with its "small gods" section.

I'm sure with a graphic calculator and a few advanced books in theoretical math and calculus the Worshiper Points System will easily be used. Granted It will set a new high for complicated systems passing the Heroes system and Role Master and all those other systems I gave up on trying to teach people. :D

Well, time to use my break and speed to the local gaming store to see if they even have this product (Spells and Spellcraft) in.

Hi Kaptain! :)

In converting features to meld with Deities & Demigods the release has been postponed until D&Dg enters the SRD (shortly).

The system is no more complicated than any other D20 set of mechanics.

I don't remember posting any of the mechanics for quite some time now, so I can't imagine how you got the impression it was maths heavy!? It is possible to go into extraordinary detail, but certainly not necessary.

The actual 'system' is very simple but there are a lot of options so that DMs can develop a Faith in as much detail as they wish. So the rules are simple but there are a lot of them, as with any supplement you can pick and choose which peices you want to utilise.

It sounds like an interesting book.

Cheeky Monkey! :D

I remember reading in one of your prior WP threads that you needed (approx) 60,000 WP for this, 1,200,000 WP for that, etc., and it just seemed to deal in large numbers. The larger the number, the worse my math skills become, LOL. :)

Less math = Good!

Well, the store didn't have Sp&Sp :(

But i can see that this thread has moved to WPS. How does that always seem to happen?

Cheeky Monkey:D (as UK called me)

Well, when people ask questions or make statements about the IH/WPS I feel it would be rude not to reply.

Did I do wrong..?

Think of WPs like Divine XPs. To create Magic Items you expend XP. To create Solars (for example) you would expend WP etc. Obviously there is a lot more to it than that, but like XP its not something you have to remember at every instance.

Also everything is (firstly) denoted in blocks and (secondly) abbreviated with Divine Ranks so its incredibly easy to keep track of. In fact a lot of the time you won't even need to look at WP.

The reason such numbers are used is so you can determine/account for every individual worshipper if need be - though this is not required (as I mentioned previously the amount of detail you choose is up to you).
