Where is the greatbow from?
I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it.

Complete Warrior.

It's basically just a 1d10 Exotic bow. (Can't remember the range increment off-hand.)

If you are going to multiclass, use the archer "coreclass" from Sovereign Stone or 3 Arrows for the king. At level 4, you'll get an additional attack with your favorite bow.

::sputters:: What the--?

Korak, what is your purpose of the three ranger levels? I'd rather get to Ft 8 for Greater Wep. Focus and use another level of Exotic Weapon Master to get ranged disarm.

I was working from memory and forgot that ranged disarm was a choice for EWM. So, just comparing 3 levels of ranger to 3 levels of fighter, it was a no brainer. Track, Endurance, extra good save, favored enemy (human), access to magic items using ranger spells (cure light wand), good skill points in skills needed for future prestige classes > 6 hp. Either path gives the same number of feats.

However, now that you point out ranged disarm as another ability for ewm... well, carefully check that skill point requirements can be met. If so, I guess you have just earned an extra feat (which you spent on greater weapon focus). Hrm... I think I still prefer the ranger levels, especially if playing the character up from level 1.

Whoa...just read through the Ranged Disarm ABILITY of Exotic Weapon Master versus the Ranged Disarm FEAT. Anybody else see a significant difference in power here?

What kind of weapon do bows count as (light, medium, two-handed) with Ranged Disarm? Doesn't really say, but the EWM ability does NOT have the 30' range limit. That would just be fun.
