Splatbooks

Oh, and I had all five splat books.

I liked some of the feats in S&F, loved most of the feats in T&B and DotF, and never more than glanced at S&S and MotW. (By this time, I was already starting to get out of gaming. Taking a several-year hiatus, I guess. But I'll be back! :) )

Wasn't too interested in the spells or the prestige classes. That's because, while I like 3E, it's not quite what I'm looking for in a gaming system.

Why do I always feel like I am the dissenting opinion?

I loved the MoTW until I played in a game where our Druid took the 'shifter' prestige class.
Talk about the most unbalanced class I've ever had the displeasure of playing with. Just imagine handing your player the MM and letting him shift between races at will.

The fact that the player could be just about anything he wanted meant that he could handle any situation by himself, there was no need for a group of adventurers, he was a one man show.

I'd give the book an 'A' if it wasn't for that class. It makes me wonder what other inbalances are hidden in it.
