Spycraft 2.0 is awesome!

I went ahead and got Spycraft 2 based on the comments of Phil and Psion (and the fact I did want it anyhow, but these guys cemented it for me).

Thanks. Now you can see why I titled this thread what I did. :) There are a lot of adjustments to the rules and so many of them are fantastic that I was just blown away. I honestly didn't expect as much out of the book as I've received.

Agreed. This, to me anyhow, has brought us glimpses of the next generation of OGL/D20 gaming. There is so much new and cool stuff here, I'll be glad when the weekend is upon me so that I can spend more time checking it all out. I can tell you this much: I picked D20 modern over the original SpyCraft game (mainly because my genre was military/black ops instead of intrigue/spy), but I am almost certain to be switching my game to Spycraft 2.0 now. Anyone need any slightly used but in good condition D20 Modern manuals ;) ?

I might, I have a table that wobbles a little..... :)

Indeed.

I'd go so far that this book stands to make a good contribution to the RPG hobby at large, not just the d20 pool. It's almost turning into a flavor of the month over at RPGnet.

Hopefully it's more than flavor of the month...but we'll take what we can get ;)

I think the only "accord rating" over at RPGnet higher than "flavor of the month" is "Exalted". ;)

I have already dropped my interest in doing some d20 Modern games in favor of Spycraft 2.0. Though I am still digesting the rules, I really like what I see. There are several different campaigns that I would like to run using the rules; (1) A action adventure game kind of like something from Jonny Quest or Thunderbirds, (2) A 1930's Pulp game, and (3) a near future Aquatic game with undersea domes, high tech submarines, weird deep sea aliens and the like.

I think a lot of us are in this boat.

Due to work & wife constraints I havn't been able to finish it off yet... but I'm slowly digesting it like a python devouring a fat man... great eatin' but it takes a while to digest.
