SPYCRAFT: Blood Money (The African Dream)

[OOC: Crud! OK we gotta do something here. I held my action and now the ball is in play. Let's do it!]

Upon hearing the familiar voice shout "BOMB!" - Ken will use his surprise half action and shoot the closest guard from behind. (Shoot +7 (+10 because braced) Damage 1d10; 1/6 S - however, as a soldier, I get to have 2 die instead of just one.)

On the first regular round, Ken will aim again (half action) and fire at a second soldier. (If he missed the first, he will shoot at that same one again. (Shoot +7 (+10 because aimed/braced) Damage 1d10; 1/6 S - however, as a soldier, I get to have 2 die instead of just one.)(

[ OOC: What do you think guys? Should GhostFox start a commotion? "FIRE!!!" I don't see any advantage in GhostFox pulling her gun and trying to fire through the crowd. I'm outta ideas.

I didn't read Kareem's 'bomb' post... Oh Damn.. I guess the point is moot... GhostFox will exit the club via the washroom window, go around the building and flank the goons.]

Kim grabs the fun and speaks quickly with an accent trying to mimic CPG...

"Sitaution is good... stupid whitey... run into me...I will call if anything changes..."

Kim quickly hangs up the phone... and looks to the CPG...

"Wrong number..."

Kim hits speed dial on his cell phone and calls Luddite...

"Big trouble... at the Club... Find all you know on Captain N'gambe... involved... Neilan target... breif I know... bullets about to fly..."

Hangs up quickly...

OOC: Bluff +10 for trying to talk his way through that one... hmm focus on waiting and making sure the CPG is not going anywhere... may have a use for him later...

Steel Ronin who has the reflex of a mongoose pop a bullet in the back of the head of the closest soldier as soon as they make their grab for Neilan. The soldier falls dead on the spot. Ronin then quickly take aim and drops another soldier who falls on the sidewalk, clutching his stomach and moaning.

[OOC: Steel Ronin got 24 for his initiative, BTW! Not that it matters much since you all go before the soldiers, but it does means that these actions are the very first of the round.

Ronin; you are 30 feet away. A 9X19mm service pistol has a 20 feet range, which means you get a -2 to attack and point blank shot doesn't apply.

This means +7 while aiming and bracing

1st ro
16 + 7 = 23 VS DC 10
Soldier dead

As per the house rule I posted in the Charter, the first minion has been canceled from the show exactly as if Ronin had scored a critical success because he was caught both flat footed and unaware.

2nd ro
12 + 7 = 19 VS DC 10
damage; 7

The minion loses all his VP and is wounded.

Fortitude roll
4 + 3 = 7 VS DC 10

The minion is stunned.

2 bullets expanded. ]

Ghost fox run into the ladies rest room and starts to climb out the window. But just as she's about to proceed through the opening, she spots a suspicious type waiting nervously by the kitchen's exit.

OOCGhost fox has a partial action during the surprise round and she has almost reached the restroom. A move action takes her through the restroom and right next to the window. A free spot check allowed to notice the suspicious african who seems to be watching the exits and concentrating on the kitchen's staff door.

Ghost's Spot
ro 17 + 3 = 20, More than enough to beat an arbitrary 10.

Ghost's Hide VS guard's spot (Ghost's has a -5 for having moved at full speed)

*sigh*

I should make the dice rolls before I write down the OCC section, it would save me from needless comment such as the -5 to hide:

Ghostfox rolled a 20 and automatically succeed.

Bottom line; Ghost fox is still in the restroom and has seen a watch out in the back alley by looking through the window. She remains unseen. She still has the normal round of actions ahead of her before it's the soldier's turn and I assume she might wish to revise her your options.

Kareem's bomb alert induces sudden panic amongst the party goers. Such an event is not unheard of Zimbabwe, and people react quickly. It has the effect of momentarily clearing the entrance as the people who were waiting to get in the club run away screaming. The gun shots of Steel Ronin do nothing to calm down the mob. Suddenly Kareem realizes that it wasn't perhaps the best idea. Soon the people inside the club start panicking and initiate a stampede toward the exit...

OOC: Regarding your actions, you now have your weapon in hand and by pushing Neilan in one corner you now both have full cover against the one soldier still outside the club that Ronin hasn't shot. This doesn't help much against the bearded soldier who was about to push you away and grab Neilan, he's still uncomfortably close.

OOC: You get +2 to your check because of the medium (harder to recognize someone over the phone). A 5th rank in culture would also provide a synergy bonus, btw.

I'm ruling that this is actually a disguise check, albeit one that isn't visual (and thus requires no kit!).

Disguise
ro 7 + 6 = 13

Listen
ro 17 + 1 = 18

You fail.

- ''Wha... who the hell are you? Oh god...''

OOC: The man hangs up. You do gain useful information though; while you were talking with the guy on the phone, you heard the sedan's tire scream as the vehicle surges forward. You don't hear this through the phone, though. Whoever you were talking to wasn't the driver of the Sedan.

Kim shakes his head... and glares to the CPG

"You have just about outlived your usefullness..."

He looks to the panicked crowd...

"This is getting better and better... just stay down..."

OOC Roman:

You heard the gunshot now. A move action toward Neilan would allow you to catch up with them (they stopped moving forward as read). It would even allow you to come in contact with the bearded guard.

Without quickdraw, your only chance to intervene before he shoots at either Neilan or Kareem would be make an unarmed attack after having run up to him.

Of course, I'm sure you can come up with many other options. I'll wait until you posted before resolving the actions of the bearded soldier.

Out of the frying pan...

Ghostfox spots another shady character in the alley by the kitchen door. She draws her mod'ed pistol and attaches the silencer, half-cursing herself for not requisitioning a bola...

[ OOC: I assume that these two actions will take up at least one round, half for drawing the pistol and at least another half for attaching the pistol.

On the next round or at the next opportunity, she will switch the mode selector to burst fire [wide burst], aim the gun at the goon, and wait until ...
a. the goon draws a weapon. In this case she will shoot to kill.
b. if the goon heads for the door but does not draw a weapon then she will aim for the legs.

I don't know what the penalties are, but here are her attack roll mods:
* +0 BAB
* +3 DEX mod
* +1 Feat bonus, if the target is within 20 feet (Point blank shot) ]
* +2 for the laser sight, effective up to 50 feet
* +1 Burst Attack (wide burst)

Here are some other modifiers that may or may not apply:
* +1 Dept bonus if she is able to get a ready action in before any of the above triggers occurs
* +1 circumstance bonus if she able to aim as well

If she doesn't get a ready action then, the burst fire option is a half attack then I'll try to get in two burst attacks.

I won't bother spending action dice.

Hopefully the silencer will muffle the shots (-4 listen penalty).
