Redesign 1:

The surface is temporary. I will be firing and glazing it soon. Better? Worse? Have a favorite squid-headed guy pic I should work from?

I like and plan to buy if you are selling.

Two suggestions.
Smooth out the tentacles where they attach to the head.
And maybe make all the tentacles rap around the cup so they are harder to break off. You have one tentacle that’s sitting on top of another tentacle and as soon as that touches something I see it falling off.

You have one tentacle that’s sitting on top of another tentacle and as soon as that touches something I see it falling off.

Like the handle? They are secured at as many places as a handle and are actually thicker.

Woo-oooot! I love 'em the teeth in the b'holder make it seem a bit goofy, not so menacing but I would love it either way.

I cannot fault the calamari mug though.
