I don't have any problem with the way Force powers are handled in SWd20. While it's true that you may not have many skill points to use, you have to keep in mind that, even untrained, as long as you have the right feat (which you will get as a bonus feat if you're a force-using class) you can still use the skills. And a lot of the skills don't even require much of a bonus to achieve good results for. You only really need to put ranks into the skills you want to excel at. Even a light-side Jedi Guardian with no points in Force Lightning can zap someone pretty easily.

Last time I checked, Jedi in Star Wars d20 used a skill-based system, so no fear.

Yes, it was wise of them. Too bad they can't do the same for D&D 3e psionics.
