Star Wars prequel questions

The thing about Star Wars is that even bad Star Wars is pretty special. The prequels and Rise of Skywalker are bad Star Wars, but I will still watch them and I will still enjoy myself when I do. Like, I did not particularly like Rogue One, but when I walked out of the theatre I had a huge grin on my face. Same with Rise of Skywalker, a fully bad movie that makes manages to make two others that I really like worse in how their dangling threads wrap up. The only Star Wars I haven't been able to actually watch all the way is Book of Boba Fett, and that's not even aggressively bad like the prequels, just dull as dishwater.

I also couldn't finish Jedi: Survivor too but not because I didn't like the plot/characters, I really loved the first game and what I played of Survivor, but the parkour stuff for whatever reason made me too nauseous to keep playing (the only video game I've had this happen to me)

We'll strongly disagree on Andor, which becomes a great show over time.
As I recall Andor just opened full throttle in the sense that there was no narrative or foreshadowing to let you know what was going on. For me I had the feeling like I missed something. And seriously, after COVID my attention span and powers of comprehension are a lot less now, so that may have played a part. I didn't have the patience for the pay off and shut it off after maybe 10 minutes. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

Oh that... Yeah im not sure who was at the helm of this fun ride but its got some truly shocking decisions. I recall in the pilot episode that Kermit had left miss piggy for a younger pig. They jumped into a lot of adult pop culture hot points that we would refer to as the culture war today.
I can see how they made the calls that lead to The Muppets.

For one, OG Muppet Show had the format of a variety show – something that was still fairly popular around that time. By the time of The Muppets, that format was dead as a doornail so instead they went with a talk show format, and then added a mockumentary-style framing device around that (in the style of The Office). So it was an attempt at updating the show for the times.

And as for the adult jokes, the Muppets have always been playing around a bit in that space, though I think The Muppets took it a little farther. But I mean...

Thanks, I was fighting the urge but failed, now I have the Muppet Show song stuck in my head. I guess it's my own fault for making the RotJ comment

Filoni is fire when it comes to animated Star Wars, but his forays into live action have been mixed at best, so I am not sure how to feel about him taking over as head honcho for all of Star Wars. Only time will tell.

A lot of it will depend on the quality of the Mando movie. Season 3 of the show was really uneven, but I suppose that was more Favreau than Filoni. Season 1 of Ahsoka was interesting but so disappointing as well. I loved Rebels so much, and the transition to live action just didn't really work ... it certainly did not live up to the promise of the S2 Mando episode that introduced live action Ahsoka. That was killer.

The Book of Boba Fett was just Jackie Chan levels of WTF. The best episode in there was the one that Boba Fett wasn't even in. Ming-Na Wen is such a baddie as Fennec, but she was utterly wasted on that show. Bringing Cad Bane to live action only to kill him off (supposedly) was pretty disappointing too. I think if they'd either limited The Book of Boba Fett to the "dances with banthas" flashbacks explaining how he escaped the sarlacc, or made him out to be the killer anti-hero crime boss that the initial teaser suggested he'd be (instead of the wet blanket he turned out to be), it would have been so much better. Oh, and Favreau should've given his Quantamania homages their own show instead of shoehorning them into Boba Fett's.
