Star Wars Saga/D&D 5th Hybrid [OOC/Rolls]

Still waiting for Kacela and Jihahna actions and rolls. I know Jihahna is planning on moving into the tunnel but not sure if she is doing anything else...

OK I changed the Force Adapt over to just one Force Talent required. I also added how I think I want to handle Destiny Points. Tell me what you think??

Destiny Points: Modified from Star Wars Saga as follows. You only gain 1 Destiny Point per level, starting at 6th level, but you may never have more than one Destiny Point (unless you have an ability that allows it, see Feats and Prestige Classes) at a time. If you gain a new level and have 1 Destiny Point you do not gain a new one at this next level.
Destiny Points can be spent to grant one of the following benefits...
· Automatically score a natural 20 on any one 1d20 roll (no roll required, counts as a Critical for attacks, a natural 20 on a Death Save, etc.)
· Automatically cause one attack made against you to miss (even if that attack was a Critical hit)
· Gaining a new full Action that turn at any time (something like the Action Surge feat but that you can use at any time in the initiative order)
· Take the damage that would have otherwise harmed another creature with your reach.
· Increase the effect of some Force Points, Force Technique or Force Secret (see Force Powers below)
Otherwise see Saga rules for bonus Destiny Points, etc. but note that again you cannot have more then one Destiny Point at a time.

So Force Master gain 2 Destiny Points a level. I am also thinking of a Feat or Talent from the rule book the Force Unleashed as they have some that allow you to gain additional Destiny Points. Still considering them

Hmm... maybe? As often as people in PbPs forget about resource allocation, it seems if everyone remembered we had a Destiny Point to spend against a Big Bad, we could presumably all choose to Crit them in the same round, which might be overkill.

Do you think Destiny Points are a necessity?

P.S. In building these characters, I realized I shorted Cal a language. He should have three total due to being human and the bonus language from Outlander. I'm thinking Bothan, Duros, or Mon Calamari.

Sidebar questions:

Do crits apply to Autofire attacks? I'm not familiar with 4E/Saga, so I am not sure if that is how it worked in those systems. I know in most of the D&D systems, crits didn't usually apply to area attacks. Then again, we have to at least roll a 10 in order for them to work, so maybe they should apply?

Also, I'm building a Gran Scoundrel at the moment and a few things popped up:

The gran's Target Awareness racial ability is a bit undefined. I don't think visual range limitations are listed for any species, so the benefit is a bit murky. I would think they should either get: automatic proficiency in Perception (like elves), advantage on visual Wisdom (Perception) checks (like the Gand), or one of the deals where if they do have proficiency in Perception, they get Skill Expertise (Perception) automatically.

Scoundrels equipment packages don't exactly line up with their proficiencies, at least in two cases I noticed:

- First, they can get a vibroknife for free. Assuming this is supposed to be a vibrodagger, they don't have Advanced Melee Weapon proficiency. I'd suggest just adding vibrodagger (maybe vibroblades as well?) to their weapon proficiencies, like 5E rogues get rapiers, rather than all martial weapons.

-Second, they can pick up a Security Kit, but don't seem to gain access to proficiency in it, assuming it isn't a basic tool kit. Two options here: add Security Kit to the list of proficiencies they get from their class and/or consolidate security and slicer kits. I kind of prefer the latter option as it is less resource intensive and space thieves should be able to both break into places and hack stuff, in my opinion.

Hmm yes I suppose just giving the Gran Proficiency with Perception would work better for 5th

My idea for Scoundrels was they would need to take the proficiency in Advance Weapons to benefit from the vibrodagger (it changed names a couple of times). You can still use it without proficiency, but it would not be a huge deal to just say they are proficiency with vibrodaggers...

Yes I should have added Security kit the first choice of Security to Electronic and Splicer kit.

I will update.

Critical hits for Autofire and other Area of Effect attacks is something I have debated a lot on. Per the rules though, anytime you are rolling an attack roll with a d20 you can crit so I think they should. But I am not 100% sold on the idea as I made part of Area of Effect easier to hit someone...

Okay, so...Kacela is now in melee with the Sith sergeant, who's wounded but not as badly wounded as he was a moment ago.

She's hurt pretty bad too, for the record.

Now am I understanding things correctly that we're withdrawing?

If you want to you can. That is an Action BUT note he does not have a melee weapon out. The best he can do is hit you unarmed (doing a d4+4 bludgeoning damage).
