Star Wars Saga/D&D 5th Hybrid [OOC/Rolls]

I think Jihanna at least suggested something along those lines (shooting the droids). In any case, it should probably be her or the Gand to give the orders.

I'm going to repeat the other thing i said, especially now that I've seen the map. Even if we deal with this fight, we'll be pretty badly messed up afterwards and will be too messed up for our real fight against the sith. Somehow, i feel like leaving to rest will not be an option.

I have a gut feeling Greenkarl does have other forces coming from other tunnels and wouldn't be surprised if his intent is for us to work that out and retreat below.

Consider this strategy, the staircase in the center of the room was a dias that sunk down revealing a descending staircase. If this is a circular staircase, then it will work very effectively as a choke-point , only allowing a small portion of troops down at a time and preventing effective use of snipers.

We also may be able to seal the staircase behind us.

I didn't realise there was a forth tunnel. I strongly feel tactical retreat would be best. The smokescreen means we could maybe take out the droids and sniper in the process.

But if there is a larger Sith force, we would likely be trapping ourselves inside wherever that staircase leads. They could just set up another ambush at the dais and wait us out. If we were going to retreat, I think the only retreat that makes sense would be back to the ship (but that wouldn't be any fun).

Personally, I think we should try and fight it out for a few rounds. If we can take down the sniper/droids before the troopers in the tunnel closest to us show up, we can then focus on them and use that tunnel as full cover from the other squad. They would have to approach us to flush us out of the tunnel.

So, in the first round of combat so far...

Cal shot and killed the sniper down the tunnel
This Gand moved closer to nearest tunnel, threw jet back into tunnel and shot it and shot one of the robots
Jihahna moved closer to nearest tunnel and activated Damage Resistance.

Isn't the Big Bad supposed to be down that staircase? (From the earthquakes that led us here and what the Rakata said, I'm going to guess Mega-Wyrm, the Sequel?)

The gand isn't the type to order people around (presumptuous to even think he/she knows better that actual, named people!), but I've now inserted a "These ones are now free to concentrate on the metal ones" after the jetpack explosion if that helps?

I agree on taking out the sniper and droids.

My thoughts regarding ignoring the current ambush and heading down are just more focusing around stopping the 'stargate activation'

If we fight here and win, we have a greater chance at losing vs the sith and failing the campaign objective.

If we run ahead to fight the sith, our chance of defeating the sith and achieving our objective is greater.

But even better still is if we can lock the staircase behind us, we could stay there until healed up, then fight our way out as we have rations etc, meaning we could enter each fight at (or close to) full health.

At the end of the day though, we might as well take out the more dangerous enemies first, which we agree is a priority, then by the time they're taken down we may need to reassess things anyway.

OK still waiting on @Shayuri and @torgdor1992 Reks used his Reaction to recover from Reeling and his Bonus action to take his Second Wind. He still has movement and a normal Action that he can take. Kacela has her full round of action to take...
